Last month, we hosted our second-annual Live And Invest In Spain Conference in Valencia—the city we named the World’s #1 Place To Retire In 2024.

Luxury Resort In Sun-Kissed Murcia
Attendees traveled two hours south of Valencia to a luxury resort in Murcia, a region that’s a golfer’s paradise in the southeast of Spain. Some even took extended stays here after the conference.
This resort is ridiculously rich in amenities, boasting pools, adventure golf, volleyball, yoga, a beach club, gym, and multi-sport track. At its center is a massive manmade lake with beaches, a jetty, and clear waters for swimming and watersports.
It’s also only 10 minutes from a famous beach—Mar Menor, a saltwater lagoon with exceptionally warm, calm waters and sandy beaches.
A variety of property types, from apartments to standalone villas, are available for lifestyle or investment. We’ve recommended this project to readers for a number of years and have seen the value of its properties spike.
The off-plan price for a two-bedroom apartment in 2022 was 195,000 euros, for example. The resale price of that same apartment is 300,000 euros in 2024, representing appreciation of 54%.
Villas have also jumped in value. The off-plan price for a three-bed, three-bath villa in 2022 was 378,000 euros. The resale price achieved in 2024 is 550,000 euros—appreciation of over 45%.
Meanwhile, investors have enjoyed strong rental yields of up to 1,200 euros per week during the high season for apartments and up to 2,500 euros per week during high season for villas.

A Niche Market With High Demand In Madrid
A few conference attendees journeyed to Madrid, about a two-hour train ride west of Valencia, to visit a unique investment offer in a niche market—student housing.
There is massive demand for affordable housing among university students and blue-collar workers in Madrid. This project allows investors to tap into that demand, fulfilling the need for housing while also bringing in attractive returns. Best of all, it’s completely turn-key, so investors can rake in profits from anywhere in the world without ever lifting a finger.
Here’s how it works: You invest in a furnished, recently renovated property in Madrid, selected because it’s in an attractive area where inventory is scarce and demand is high.
Units start at about 180,000 euros, and a range of properties are available (typically from three to five bedrooms). Each room is rented out on a mid- to long-term rental contract. A professional management team is in place to take care of sourcing tenants, cleaning and repairs, and payment management.
Demand for this project is so great that the developer has recently multiplied their efforts to be able to offer an even larger inventory.
Limited Agri-Investment Deal In Western Spain
In western Spain, you find one of our most popular agri-investment deals to date. It involves an investment in a highly coveted luxury food item: truffles.
This is another high-demand-meets-low-supply investment story. Truffle production is severely limited. It has dropped off over the last century and is now at a mere 5% of what it was at the start of the 20th century.
Meanwhile, demand skyrocketed and is so high that truffles often sell out all around the world. Truffles are so coveted that chefs lock them in safes; they’ve been autioned at Sotheby’s…
The trouble is that truffles aren’t easy to produce. They only grow under specific circumstances in specific areas of the world… which is why we were excited to discover a truffle plantation in Spain that is backed by serious science.
In short, the developer seeds the roots of the trees in his plantation with spores, speeding up truffle growth naturally. The specifics of the process aren’t available to just anyone… The developer has been working with a dedicated lab for years to refine it, and they keep it private and well protected.
Lief Simon has just negotiated a great new deal to allow a select group of investors to get involved in this project. It involves two-year-old truffle trees, released from the developer’s corporate stock, that are much closer to harvest than non-plnated trees… meaning investors get their payouts much sooner than they would otherwise.
